Our new building at Lágymányos with astronomical facilities, 1999
The center of gravity of the University has been shifted to Buda again with the inauguration of the new campus at Lágymányos, this time on the southern side of Gellért Hill. The Department of Astronomy moved to the new Physics Building in August/September 1998. On top of the building there is a small planetarium, a dome for an educational telescope, and an observing terrace. The Department's central offices are located on the 6th floor.
