Confronting theory with ground based view and recent space missions




An interdisciplinary workshop in a Hungarian holiday resort surrounded by forest and river (see its maps).

The meeting will be held in Visegrád which is located approximately 40 km north of Budapest and situated on the River Danube.

The workshop will cover all areas of the interaction of young and evolved high-mass and low-mass stars with their environment including aspects of star formation from quasars to the Heliosphere.

There will be a selection of review and contributed talks. A limited number of lecture slots will be available for participants. There will be sufficient time for discussions. Please note that places are limited and will be allocated according to when applications are received. Approved speakers will be notified and listed in the announcements.

Monday 10th July            -
hotel room reservations, deadline to pay a 1st night

                          deposit for accommodations in Budapest

Friday 14th July               - deadline to return the service request form

Tuesday 8th August         - shuttle transfer from the Eötvös University Budapest to
                                            Hotel Visegrád
                                          - registration

Wednesday 9th  August    09:00 meeting opens, 19:00 Conference dinner

Thursday 10th August      afternoon excursion

Friday 11th August           19:00 meeting ends, shuttle transfer from Hotel Visegrád to Budapest
