Confronting theory and ground based view with recent space missions

Organizers: Eötvös University Budapest & "Hungarian Astronomical Foundation"

I.                   Topics: interaction of young and evolved high-mass and low-mass stars with their environment including aspects of star formation.

II.                Dates: 9-11 August 2006 (immediately before the IAU GA Prague)

    Tuesday arrival, Wednesday morning - Friday evening meeting

III.             Visegrád as venue a small city 40km north of Budapest

            *** Hotel Visegrád, (sauna and swimming pool, available for participants)

For anyone intending to attend the IAU in Prague after this meeting, Prague is readily accessible from Budapest by train or by air. IV.           A fairly informal meeting with enough time for discussions

            6 review talks ~18-20 other oral contributions (<1/2 hour incl. discussion)
                  Posters can as well be presented.

            About 15 hours for talks: 2 times full day, 1 time ½ day

            Informal evenings out

                    4-8 pages per contribution.

               VII.        Costs (what participants pay):

o       Registration fee:
regular participant: EUR120 before May 31,  EUR150 after that date (late registration)
registered  accompanied person
(undergraduate student, children or spouse accompanied by a regular participant): EUR 36 before May 31,  EUR45 after that date (late registration) - they may enter all sessions, they will get a nametag and a welcome bag and will be eligible for using all services of the registration desk during the conference (eg. organized excursions).

Further reductions are possible for eligible participants. Ask the SOC for a reduced fee.

o       Accommodation:
EUR50-EUR65/room/night, first night deposit has to be transferred to the Hotel before 30 June 2006

  o       Meals: 

- Swedish buffet breakfast (included in the accommodation cost)
- Lunch will be around EUR10 (a la carte)
- Dinner: there are several small restaurants within walking distance offering dishes for around EUR10

o       Conference dinner: EUR30

o       Proceedings book: PADEU, online and available via ADS

                VIII.      Free afternoon:

            we will organize a trip to the castle

            and alternative excursions to Szentendre or Esztergom

                IX.           We can arrange weekend accommodation for early bookers with the options:
